EMPLOYER MATCHING

Donation matching is a corporate giving initiative in which companies match their employees’ charitable donations. When an employee donates to a nonprofit, they’ll submit a request to their employer. Then, the company will then make its own donation to the same organization. This allows the donor to make an even greater impact with your donations to the Coalition. 

Consider contacting your employer’s Human Resources or Corporate Social Responsibility departments to learn if they match employee donations. If you have any questions, contact Rose Olea at dev@muslimciviccoalition.org.

IN-KIND GIFTS

Unlike monetary contributions, in-kind donations consist of generous offerings in the form of goods, services, or expertise. Donating goods or services can help reduce operating costs and access essential resources that may have otherwise been challenging to obtain.

PLANNED GIVING

Planned gifts are typically made through a donor’s estate plans, such as a will or trust, and may include assets like stocks, real estate, and personal property. These gifts may also include charitable trusts, annuities, or other financial arrangements that provide a source of income to the donor while also benefiting the charity. One of the advantages of planned giving is that it allows you to make a significant contribution without impacting your current financial situation. Additionally, many planned gifts offer tax benefits that can help reduce tax liability while also supporting a worthy cause. You can also consider gifts from 401k or Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs). Talk to your attorney or financial advisor about making a bequest.
