Muslim Civic Coalition Presents Illinois Muslim Voter Data at Islamic Center of Wheaton

Wheaton, IL - April 29, 2026 - The Muslim Civic Coalition, in partnership with the Islamic Center of Wheaton and alongside All United, was invited to present at a community Post-Primary Election Debrief held at the Islamic Center of Wheaton.

The evening provided a valuable space for community members to review the results of the 2026 Primary Election, with a special focus on Muslim voter turnout and participation across Illinois. The Muslim Civic Coalition presented key data from the Illinois Muslim Report and shared insights on Muslim voting patterns.

Illinois State Senator Karina Villa, also a candidate for Illinois Comptroller, joined the program, along with community leader and candidate for Dupage County Board Syed Hussain. Both leaders passionately emphasized the importance of voting and civic participation, calling on communities of color to build real political power in the face of high-stakes elections that directly impact our families and futures.

Local imams recited Quran and delivered powerful reminders about the obligation to make our voices heard and stand for justice.

The presentation and discussion highlighted both successes and areas for growth in Muslim civic engagement, helping attendees better understand the data and its implications for future elections.

The Muslim Civic Coalition thanks the Islamic Center of Wheaton for graciously hosting this event, All United for co-presenting, and all community members who attended.
