Des Plaines, IL — The Muslim Civic Coalition proudly attended and extends its congratulations to the Islamic Food and Nutrition Council of America (IFANCA) for hosting a memorable Community Leadership Dinner this past Saturday in celebration of Eid al-Fitr.
The well-attended evening gathered civic leaders from across Illinois, valued partners, and diverse community voices from throughout Chicagoland. Attendees enjoyed an evening filled with unity, reflection, and inspiration as they marked the joyous conclusion of the blessed month of Ramadan.
Beautifully organized by Asma Ahad and her team, the program included heartfelt poetry readings, insightful reflections on IFANCA’s significant contributions to halal certification and global standards, and a short address by IFANCA President Dr. Muhammad M. Chaudry. As a trusted partner, IFANCA continues to lead with excellence in promoting halal integrity and ethical practices worldwide.
The event was graciously hosted at the Sabeel Center in Des Plaines, a vibrant community hub dedicated to showcasing Islamic culture, the life and legacy of Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), and impactful programs that support and uplift youth and families in the region.
The Muslim Civic Coalition extends its heartfelt gratitude to IFANCA, Asma Ahad, the Sabeel Center, and all participating partners for making the evening possible. Together, we remain committed to fostering stronger, more connected communities across Illinois.
