Feed Every Student – Fund Halal/Kosher Meals in Illinois Schools

Witness slips needed for Halal/Kosher meal funding hearing TOMORROW. Students shouldn't have to choose between their faith and basic needs.

We’ve already made history in Illinois mandating access to halal and kosher food in public schools through the Faith by Plate Act, but now we need to tell legislators: it's time to deliver on this promise.

A $5 million funding request to implement the law in public schools has been assigned a Subject Matter Hearing TOMORROW in Springfield.

Take 2 minutes: submit a witness slip for SB 2642

We need your voice to help thousands of Muslim and Jewish students.

Every student deserves to thrive. We know that when students have healthy, balanced, and filling meals at school, they focus, learn, and perform better.

Join the Muslim Civic Coalition in ensuring all students have the same opportunities – the freedom to practice their faith, equal access to nutrition, and every chance to succeed.

Submit a witness slip for SB 2642 by 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 28: https://ilga.gov/Senate/hearings/details/3116/22880/createwitnessslip.
