Believers Bail Out are organizing a march and Jumu’ah prayer in the South Side neighborhood of Bronzeville. BBO have chosen this location for historic and strategic purposes. The planned march will gather at the Ida B Wells memorial site on the corner of 37th St and Dr Martin Luther King Jr Dr. This location carries special meaning for it is catty-cornered from her past residence, where Wells lived much of her life while leading the fight against lynching. From there BBO will conduct a brief march and then hold Jumu’ah service. After this service, BBO hope to give space for Black Muslims and community members to speak out against the oppression they have endured at the hands of the police and show solidarity to not only George Floyd but also Black Muslims and Black Non-Muslims across the country.

Everyone will gather for the demonstration at 1:45pm insha’Allah to give people time to attend local Jumu’ahs and/or make it to the South Side. Wheelchairs and mobility aids are available upon request for the march. Please contact believersbailout@gmail.com with any requests.
