We are proud to feature Muslims who have broken societal barriers through faith and perseverance. Please see the full list of events below:

March 3rd | Lutkin Hall 7pm | Suhaib Webb. Imam Suhaib Webb is a renowned American scholar and educator in Islamic thought. After converting to Islam, he left the music industry to pursue education and was named “Faith Leader to Watch” by the Center for American Progress in 2016. He has been named as one of CNN’s 25 Most Influential Leaders and is currently a Resident Scholar at ICNYU.

March 4th | Lutkin Hall 7pm | Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf. McSA is excited to bring former American professional basketball player Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf. Abdul-Rauf was a 1st round pick for the Denver Nuggets and spent nine years in the NBA which included an appearance in the 1993 Slam Dunk Contest. He caused controversy for protesting the national anthem, stating that the flag was a symbol of oppression and the US’s history of tyranny.
